Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that your healthcare is a sensitive issue, both in terms
of the privacy of your treatment as well as the financial aspects of your
debt and payment status. We respect your privacy and work hard to
protect your financial interests while at the same time ensuring that
your medical treatments are not impacted in any way.

Because you may not have had prior experience with a healthcare
financial advocate, we listed some frequently asked questions.

Q. Why would my healthcare provider agree to lower my bill?

The practice of medicine is unlike many other services you buy. Healthcare providers routinely accept less in payment than they charge.
In some ways it is much like the sticker price on a car - the price listed
is seldom the price actually paid. back to top
Q. Why should I use a service like yours?

Because of state regulations and insurance arrangements, healthcare
providers often accept less than their total bill. The actual amount
acceptable to your healthcare provider is something that, as a patient,
you may not know. With years of experience and a database of
common charges, we have insights into acceptable rates. back to top
Q. What will my doctor think of me for asking for a lower bill?

Healthcare providers are accustomed to reimbursement amounts that
are less than the original billed charges. Our approach to negotiating
with your doctor or hospital is to discuss the fair market value of the
treatment you received Using proprietary databases of payment
information, we are able to determine the proper price for your specific
treatment in your specific geographical area, and often at your specific
hospital in cases where you were treated at an inpatient facility. Your
healthcare provider will view us as a third-party advocate acting on
your behalf. back to top
Q. What does your service cost me?

There is a fee for our service only if we achieve savings for you. Ours
is a risk-free offer - if we are not successful, then you owe us nothing.
If we are able to reduce your costs, our fee is $35 for every $100 we
save. This way out of every $100 we save, you keep $65. back to top
Q. How does my credit card get charged?

We charge your credit card only for our own services. We only charge
your card in cases where we achieve savings on your behalf. If, for
example, we save you $100 off your bill, we charge your card for $35.
Your doctor or hospital may charge their reduced fee to your card as
a separate transaction, or you may make other payment arrangements
with them for their portion of the fee. back to top
