Coalition America, Inc. (CAI) is pleased to announce that it recently completed a business re-engineering effort that has resulted in greater functionality and enhanced quality associated with its data management systems. These improvements are part of a larger overall program targeted at maintaining CAI as the leader in medical claim savings.

"Over three years ago CAI created MCOnline to engineer and maintain a state-of-the-art system for loading and maintaining provider demographics and fee schedules. The result was the development of the most successful PPO network management and integration solution available", said Scott Smith, President, Coalition America. "Over a year ago we recognized that to continue our dominance in this market we needed to integrate MCOnline with CAI, and enhance the capabilities of the system to meet the growing demands for paperless solutions, and multiple mechanisms for electronic claim transmission. Additionally, we identified an opportunity to more effectively scrub provider data and match it against our historical experience", said Smith.

"The change has clearly benefited CAI and its clients", said Tammy Mancinelli, Director of Network Data Management Services for CAI. "Once we brought the system in house we recognized an opportunity to dramatically enhance our ability to receive and load network data resulting in even greater accuracy of information being used to analyze client specific experience and provide repricing services. It has also enabled us to refine our business rules to augment how we manage and integrate hundreds of demographic and fee schedule files from our network partners", said Mancinelli. One of the most immediate changes was to host the system through Sungard, a nationally recognized hosting service, to provide redundancy to CAI’s systems and ensure maximum service reliability to its clients.

CAI anticipates unveiling additional systems enhancements related to its repricing capabilities in the next several months.
