Coalition America, Inc. has named Doug Washington to the newly created position of Provider Coordinator. In this capacity, Washington will assist providers, PPO networks and company account coordinators in resolving health care claims and discount issues for the Atlanta-based health care cost containment company.

Washington becomes the company’s primary contact for providers seeking information on claims status, discount resolution and negotiations on denied or lost network discounts. He will also supervise contacts with PPO networks in verifying and updating provider information in Coalition America’s files.

Before joining Coalition America, Washington was project manager for Corvel Corporation supervising workers compensation accounts. He has held similar positions with AIG and The Prudential.

A native of East Orange, N.J., Washington is a graduate of Essex Catholic Boys High School and he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Delaware State College.
