COALITION AMERICA OFFERS STATE-OF-THE-ART XML REPRICING SOLUTION FOR ITS CLIENTS
ATLANTA, Ga. - August 6, 2003

Coalition America, Inc. (CAI) is pleased to announce the availability of a state-of-the-art Extensible Mark-up Language (XML) program for receiving, repricing and transmitting medical claim information on a real-time basis. This process will enable CAI to offer its clients an automated process for sending individual claims to CAI for immediate discounting as an alternative to more common electronic data interface (EDI) solutions.

"Unlike traditional EDI, which is typically a batch transmission process, CAI’s XML solution allows clients to transmit medical claims on an individual basis from their adjudication system for real-time repricing", said Fred Christian, CIO for Coalition America. "We have had this process in beta for over a year. As a result of that experience, we have made significant enhancements to the process and are now releasing an advanced version for use by our clients", said Christian.

CAI’s XML solution automatically encrypts the client’s confidential information in transit from their computer to CAI’s using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available and HIPAA compliant). Once the information reaches CAI it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. CAI’s servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so the client’s information is available only to authorized computers.

The new XML solution will be a tremendous time and resource saver for clients who are interested in the type of transaction speed offered by CAI’s Internet repricing service, RepriceNow, but want to use technology rather than employees to transmit claims.
